Landscape Services is dedicated to providing everyone with a peaceful, enjoyable, and beautiful Monastery as well as increasing awareness of our Bodhi Mind.

Buddha Mind Monastery now invites everyone to join our landscape adoption programs. We will offer several ways to "adopt" a part of the Buddha Mind landscape. Adopters can support the Monastery landscape by adopting a spot, a section of the walking trail, or a tree map program.

Adopt-A-Spot

A person, a group, or a family may select a spot at Buddha Mind and landscape it regularly to improve the spot's appearance. After adopters select a spot, they can discuss their plan with the shifus. They may work together or individually on a rotating basis meeting once a week or any time, any day. Spots are available as below:

Adopt-A-Section of the Walking Trail

Through our Adopt-A-Section of the Walking Trail program you can help the monastery improve the walking trail environment and increase the awareness of damage caused by weather or any other man-made reasons.

How It Works
Once or twice a week, you can volunteer an hour working on your adopted area. In return, you will have the satisfaction of improving the walking trail environment and contributing toward a healthy life and peaceful mind for the entire week.

Adopt-A-Tree Program

As the varieties of beautiful trees grow at the monastery, we are looking for individual people or a group who are enthusiastic and knowledgeable to identify the trees, take pictures, and make simple signs for those trees. BMM will make tree identification plaques afterward. An educational tree path will result from your great efforts. It will be a horticultural map and guide for all cultivators.

How to join us and further increase your practice?

The loveliest flowers usually have the best gardener -- and that's you! Please don't hesitate to sign up for one or more of these programs. You may spend just one hour a week and it will make a huge difference to our environment. Also bring your friends or family to join in this adoption opportunity!
